Little Giant Pinot Noir 2024

The range is in stumpy bottles. No doubt, we all know so-called purists who would be horrified, but I rather like them. This wine from South Aussie vineyards, specifically Limestone Coast and Adelaide Hills, had around 5% whole bunches included. Maturation was in large 600-litre barrels with 30% of them new. A ruby/garnet hue, the nose has rather alluring notes of red fruits, raspberries, spices, woodsmoke and hints of undergrowth. The wine could do with a smidge more length, but in fairness, at this price, it is doing very nicely and is certainly good value. A lovely fresh style, for enjoying over the next two to four years.
