Logan Ridge of Tears Chardonnay 2022

Share

A touch of lanolin, wet stone, fresh cut pineapple, ripe peach, lemon skin and cooling spice with a crushed, blanched almond note on the finish. Fine acidity tiptoes across the palate, at an even keel with the delicacy of fruit. A clarified butter feel and the fruit is in the custard apple, lemon curd scope. Pretty delicate white florals float through on the breeze. A finer style of Chardonnay, from a cooler climate. This has a prettiness, with an underlying richer, buttered biscuit base to it. A grower – each sip pulls me back for more. I love the delicacy here, and it has decent length. A delightful drop, and perfect for pairing with a spring picnic fresh herbed salad, stone fruit and white meat.
