Longview Devil’s Elbow Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

An appealing magenta in colour, the nose here is dry herbs, florals, blackberries, cigar box notes, hints of bell peppers and much more. A classic cooler-climate Cabernet, done extremely well. The nicely fragrant nose moves on to a well-structured wine, finely crafted. This is balanced with very good length, good acidity and excellent focus. A hint of bacon fat emerges on the palate, with the darker fruits. With firm tannins, this should have no trouble in providing excellent drinking over the next ten years.
