Lonicera by Leconfield Coonawarra Merlot Cabernet Franc 2023

Mainly Merlot with some Cabernet Franc. Stylistically, it is a nod to France’s Beaujolais, a vibrant and fruity red with a bit of whole bunch, carbonic maceration, and, most importantly, immediate drinking pleasure. Bright strawberry, red cherry and cranberry fruit mingle with Coonawarra’s cooling, peppery leafiness. Delicate and supple on the palate, youthful acidity carries crunchy berries and supple tannins. While it’s on the leaner and fresher side, it’s balanced and, overall, very enjoyable!
