Magarey Lane Single Vineyard Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Magarey Lane has a focus on single vineyard wines from the Limestone Coast and Coonawarra, the latter is the source of the fruit for this wine. And classic Coonawarra it is, with a distinctive choc mint aroma supporting ripe blackberries and plums. Time in the glass reveals Chinese 5 spice and a savoury, earthy, gravelly note. It’s rich and mouth-filling with dark spicy fruit and cocoa powder tannins. The slight herbaceous lift is reminiscent of freshly picked mint leaves and a bright raspberry acidity offers freshness on the finish. Drink with pistachio-crusted lamb rack and chimichurri.
