Situated on an east facing slope in Red Hill planted in 1984. The wine is whole bunch pressed, native yeast and into seasoned French barriques for 11 months with full malolactic fermentation. A posy of golden flowers, jonquils, sunflower and honeysuckle, Soft peaches and lemon melting moment biscuits. Acidity surges and rolls in powerful but gathering waves with cashew and raw almond, white pepper and chamomile. This has delicate features and requires some time in the glass, it rewards with patience showing some nutty and stony details, this has a long life ahead. Drink now with Macadamia crusted fish or cellar for another 8-10 years.
Shanteh cut her teeth at Sydney’s Award-Winning Quay restaurant where she worked for over a decade and was Head Sommelier from 2018 till 2022. She has been nominated for the Good Food Guide Sommelier of the Year award on three occasions and claims that her experience as a Len Evans scholar as one of the highlights of her career.
