Maressa Chardonnay 2020

Share

A well priced and pitched chardonnay here from the Mornington Peninsula with enough toasty goodness in the mix to please fans of oakier styles. A youthful medium straw in colour, it is punchy, bright young thing with a solid core of nectarine and citrus fruits well supported by spicy nougat barrel ferment and maturation complexity. What follows is a creamy, mouthfilling but still well-defined palate thanks to a burst of acidity well matched to generous fruit. It’s hard to fault for $25.
