Mesh Eden Valley Riesling 2020

Mesh is a heavyweight collaboration between Jeffrey Grosset and the Hill-Smith family of Yalumba. Both have their own brands in the Eden Valley so it is interesting to see how Mesh differs from the Grosset and Pewsey Vale releases. For me this wine is much more aligned to the acid-driven Grosset style.

Light straw in colour, the Eden Valley influence is strong here with its zesty aromas of lime, lemon peel and bath salts. In the mouth, the wine is energetic and light weight – zesty fruits with tangy acidity draw out a long, fresh and spicy finish. It is a good result from the vintage and will drink well over the next five to seven years.
