Mitolo Cantiniere Shiraz 2018

Mitolo has made a name for themselves with single vineyard wines, particularly G.A.M., Serpico and Savatar. The Cantiniere is where they have changed tack, blending together two fruit parcels from vineyards just kilometres away from the Gulf St Vincent.

The 2018 vintage has created quite a decadent and full-throttle shiraz which is deeply coloured and flavoured. It ripples with a core of dark fruits – jubey, fruit pastille and blackberry liqueur matched with sweet oak. On the palate it is punchy and bright with lashes of sweet fruit plus an acid kick and grainy tannins to support that fruity frame and its long finish. A more early drinking style from Mitolo.
