Mitolo Jester Shiraz 2021

Great value McLaren Vale Shiraz from a sensational vintage. After a cool fermentation, the wine spent 14 months in a mix of French (75%) and American (25%) oak hogsheads. We have notes of mocha, spices, plums, coffee beans, chocolate, blackberries, tobacco leaves and aniseed. A richly flavoured palate, which is really rather attractive. Good focus, balance, and length with silky tannins. There is generosity and richness here. Cracking value to enjoy over the next six to ten years. I know there can be a reluctance to give wines at lower price points high scores, but this one deserves it.
