Monchiero Langhe Nebbiolo Anfora 2021

Share

Fermented in stainless steel before maturation entirely in amphora (‘anfora’ in Italian). Beguiling and intriguing aromas of rosewater, Turkish Delight, quality maraschino cherry, orange rind, orange oil, orange liqueur. The palate is lithe, bright, and lifted – orange peel, mandarin, bright cherry and rose. Ultra fine but present tannins bring the frame, with an orange oil bitterness tantalising the tongue. This is both wonderfully unique and unmistakably varietal at once. Delicious, bright, drinkable, though with complexity and structure. So good.
