Mora Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2022

Share

The fruit is taken from predominantly Felton terraces and a portion of Cairnmuir. This opens with distinct blue plum skin, juniper spice and poppy seed. It circles with lavender leaf, some white clay sandstone and a touch of rosehip. The palate opens extending into some spirited red berries pomegranate and lingonberries which pop mid palate. Maturation in French oak barriques for 10 months of which 20% is new has just sanded down the sharp angles, allowing for a silken line of fine tannins. This is elegant in the extreme, laden with fruit but utterly harmonious and gracefully stitched together. Drink this now with pork potstickers and black rice vinegar or lay down in the cool of your cellar for another 4-6 years further.
