Botanicals, including fennel and nutmeg, are the go here, with a red wine base. Negroni, Manhattan or a variation on a Rob Roy are all possibilities or simply adding a little fruit juice possibly. Magenta with a crimson rim, we have notes of florals, cherries, spices, bitter herbs and a touch of contrasting sweetness. It gives that lovely sweet and sour note to a drink before an appealing cherry finish with very good length.
