Nick & Goe Sangiovese Rosso Classico 2025

Share

First and last impressions are that this smells Italian but with a distinctly Aussie approach, vibrant fruit focus and vivid Sangiovese character. Pomegranate, raspberry roll up, sweet red figs and paprika spice. Softly herbal with rosemary and dried thyme. Tannins are powdery but abundant and acidity leads the direction of the wine. This will have the ability to age well, say for another 6-8 years. If drinking now go for those fatty pork sausages, the wine has the stuffing to stand up to the richness. Plenty of value and joy to be had in this bottle.
