O’Leary Walker Polish Hill River/Armagh Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Some unmistakable Clare Valley leaves, herbs, mint and eucalyptus here, leaving a firm stamp of local terroir on the wine. Builds in dark berries and cassis with a deep running thread of earth, Aussie bush notes, briar, twig and eucalyptus. It is very much a young wine, a work in progress still coming together, tight and firm in tannins and with eucalyptus speaking a touch loud. All the quality parameters are in place, but needs more time before it is fully comfortable in its own skin.
