Oliver’s Taranga Chica Mencía Rosé 2022

A bouncing, bright, cherry-infused delight of a rosé. It’s hard to expect anything less from a grape that hails from the Iberian Peninsula. This has ‘party’ written all over it, from the cherry-red infusion of colour, to the inviting fruit-led pomegranate, plum, cherry and raspberry confection playfulness of the palate. It then invites closer inspection with an attractive textural component mid-palate. The grape isn’t short on tannin or acidity, and the phenolic grip towards the finish is a reminder that behind the summer rosé interpretation lurks a serious personality.
