Orbis Nero d’Avola 2024

Share

Crushed black cherry, beetroot and red skins – this wine is full of life and energy. Pretty florals and sweet spice on the nose are countered by some hard yakka concentration, and generous weight on the palate – this wine’s got some get-up-and-go. Medium-bodied. There’s a beautiful tart line of red plum flesh, giving freshness amongst the power. Balanced. Italian rooted. I like it. Orbis has a common thread across all cuvées – scrumptious, textural and moreish. Drink with a barbeque, something to match the rustic, chewy tannins. Drink now. Preferably while watching drag.
