Patrick Wrattonbully Two Blocks Shiraz 2019

Coming from their 55-hectare vineyard north of Coonawarra, the Two Blocks Shiraz is yet another fine wine from Patrick, showing that their Shiraz can give their Cabernet a run for its money. Despite now being six years old, it still shows heaps of primary fruit (mulberry, raspberry, black cherry), a touch of vanilla, and some tertiary dried red and black fruits, leather, cola, and smoke. On the palate, that fruit is bright yet rich, with a length that lingers. It still has at least another three years before it will reach its peak.
