A cool season and vintage explained well in the glass. Deep purple hues. Bay leaf, spearmint, pepper aromas offer a distinctive pungency next to bright red fruits, cranberry and crushed herbs. There’s an elegance here, stately and firm. It’s got time on its side and it knows it. Grainy, sinewy tannins come into force on the palate, tight and focused, almost unassuming. More herbals than spice float across the palate accompanied by cacao and earthy notes, allowing the fruit to sweep across with Aussie bush notes in train. Made for future enjoyment.
