Adelaide Hills Savvy, this is near transparent in colour and a fresh, crisp and attractive example of one direction the grape can take. Biting acidity, there are notes of cut grass and gooseberries, with a flicker of passionfruit to expand the horizons, though the wine largely eschews the tropical side of the Savvy road. A juicy style with good focus and a firm finish. This is very much a Savvy which requires matching with appropriate food – freshly caught whiting would be a good choice – than simply drinking solo.
