Petaluma White Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Share

Sweet vanilla and clove from the oak dominate the aromas straight up, before a good swirl of the glass brings out spearmint, blackberry, eucalyptus, black tea, and ground coffee. The palate is full bodied with chewy oak tannin texture. Blackcurrant, blackberry, clove, coffee grounds and mint are encased in a vein of sinewy, dark-chocolatey tannins and black fruit-drenched acidity to a structured and oak-infused finish. This is not for the faint of heart, nor those averse to oak, but it does evolve and flesh out in the glass resulting in a Cabernet with classic Coonawarra appeal. Get yourself a nice porterhouse and settle in.
