Peter Lehmann Wigan Riesling 2018

Share

An homage to Andrew Wigan’s penchant for white wines, this wine is always released with 5 years’ bottle age. Pale straw colour belies the age with the pigment not having moved even slightly. Kerosene, lime zest, mandarin pith, Makrut lime leaf and green apple skin make way for slate, pickled herbs. The slate-like minerality builds with air, shooting through the core of the aromas. The palate has a glycerol-like texture with a kerosene edge wrapped up in lime-peel, slate, bath salts, green apple skin and a bite of citrus preserves. Great acidity here, washing everything down through a citrusy finish of long length. Another Wigan release of class and age-worthiness.
