Pimpernel Vineyards Pinot Noir Four 2019

Share

A Yarra Valley Pinot Noir with attitude. It’s on the darker side of the Pinot spectrum both in colour and the degree of complexity achieved, which is impressive. Aromas offer glimpses of the exotic in pomegranate, cranberry, cherry, chocolate and spice with a whisper of leaf. A leaf motif, not obtrusive and yet undeniable, runs through the wine offering a touch of savouriness. Medium bodied and filling the mouth in solid flavour accentuated in clove and cinnamon spices and notes of lifted pomegranate and sour cherry. Sinewy tannins weave their way through the wine. An impressive wine with attention to detail.
