A spring garden of white flowers and growing plants. Tufts of celery, lime buds and winding green passionfruit bulbs. There is a green tea savouriness with puckering acidity and all the freshness promised on the nose delivered to the smack bag middle of your palate. I quite like the prickly cucumber melon that stands to define the varietal intrigue. There is bitterness to it, but it’s held well within the lime citrus zeal. This is clearly Grüner and its thought provoking and a wine that can do things on the dining table not many white wines can do, this is your asparagus, leek and brassica pairing wine. It will bring to life any of the Allium family and work well with white mould cheese, shellfish and cream sauces. Great value to boot. Drink now.
