Precious Little Marananga Nero d’Avola 2019

A mighty impressive example of this Sicilian variety which comes from Marananga in the Barossa Valley. Only a small batch that was picked by hand and then treated sympathetically through the winery. The most impressive feature is how the fruit has been harnessed. It has been kept deliberately lighter, albeit still with stacks of flavour, but the lower alcohol allows the natural fruit characters of this distinctive variety to emerge. Lovely long palate.
