Pt. Leo Estate Pinot Gris 2020

The Mornington Peninsula has over the years fashioned itself into one of the country’s top regions for pinot gris. It’s cool but not cold climate allows pinot gris to develop pretty aromatics and also some of that fuller body and textural richness seen in the best of this variety. Here we have an attractive, semi-aromatic gris style – pear, blossom and citrus fruits which are bright and pure lead to a dry and slightly creamy palate with tangy acidity giving some focus to a lingering finish where more savoury and spicy elements emerge. It’s a well-made, user friendly gris style that could be enjoyed on its own or team it up with California rolls.
