Purple Hands Grenache 2021

Share

I just fell in love with this deeply coloured and flavoured version of Barossa Grenache which is a bit of a bruiser in style but still delivers plenty of genuine complexity. A deep ruby colour is immediately followed by waves of generous ripe fruits. Sweet blackberry, licorice and liqueur cherry are offset by surprisingly subtle savoury, herbal stalky notes – that gentle stalkiness is the key to this wine. The palate is then full flavoured and hedonistic, packed full of blue fruits with well managed tannins helping to keep its shape before a very long and strong finish. It’s a big Greanche with huge appeal for all fans of the Barossa.
