Rameau d’Or Provence Rose 2018

Share

It took a while but Rose finally took off. Suddenly the world realised that Rose could be real wine – complex and delicious. So now you can get Rose from pretty much anywhere around the world and what says relaxation better than something that is pink and delicious.

So while the world is embracing Rose, its spiritual home is still in the South of France, particularly Provence where Grenache, Cariginan and Cinsault, plus a whole bunch of other grapes, such as Tibouren, can craft brilliant wines.

This example from Provence is particularly delicious – with its pale salmon pink colour complemented by touches of wild raspberry, dried herbs and even a touch of peat. It also has a nice texture and fruit concentration but also retains its elegance. This is a serious and delicious Rose.
