Riposte The Katana Chardonnay 2024

Share

The katana was a curved, single-edged bladed sword favoured by the samurai. Nuff said, it was serious stuff. Equally serious is The Katana Chardonnay with its golden hues and concentrated scent of ripe yellow peach, pear, honeydew melon, yellow apple and hint of crème brûlée. Flavours are generous but also fine-edged, with finely-tuned acidity providing some impressive drive. Palate is layered in summer stone fruits with yellow peach in the lead role and supported by starfruit and Asian pear. Good width across the middle palate, texturally bright, too. Plenty to like and enjoy here.
