Forest and bush, broken slate: this is no simplistic introduction to the nasals here. A deep breath of these is well advised before crimson cherry – flesh, skin and stone – take over the senses, pure and elegant at first, soon deepening with all those earlier earth elements setting foundation blocks for the palate to expand its flavours and aromatics. It’s early days for this wine – give it a good airing to reveal its best as a youth. Cellar over a few years for a more profound expression
