Rising Small Batch Red 2018

Share

Love this wine with its natural feel thanks to low intervention winemaking. What that means is lots of the winemaking tricks are left out to produce a more natural expression of wine. It’s less fruity, more savoury with vitality and while it won’t last in bottle forever, it is still delicious right now.

This blend of Yarra Shiraz and Pinot Noir is delicious with its bright and fresh fruits – wild cherry, herbs and earth in an elegant, understated kind of way. There is also some pepper and redcurrant fruit too. It’s silky and supple, the brightness of fresh fruit always dominant providing some serious drinking pleasure. If you like your wine a bit wild, Rising is a label worth exploring.
