Riversdale Estate Centaurus Pinot Noir 2021

Share

A selection of the top plots and barrels from the Estate. There is distinction in this glass with macerated strawberries, raspberry coulis and pink peppercorn. A sway of blackberries and rosemary with a swirl of vanilla pods and coffee beans. Yes the wine is built for aging with a nod to the royal oak treatment and care of its fine line of acidity. Tannins are dusty and are quickly followed by succulence which can only come from grape tannins and perhaps a touch of whole bunches. It’s wonderfully powerful, yet delicate and flavourful from start to a long, tapering finish. This is the kind of Pinot Noir that just rewards you with each sip, glass and bottle you buy. Drink now and will cellar glacially for up to 8 years. A fine match for grass fed beef tenderloin and Béarnaise Sauce.
