McLaren Vale provenance in the modern Grenache game has big pulling power, here from the southern end of the region which leads it towards a more medium to fuller bodied wine rather than lighter more pinot-esque styling. Crafted without oak, its varietal fragrance is bang on par, with definite earthy, peppery and sweetly herbal and spicy toned crimson fruits that trigger raspberry, Turkish delight like flavours with sticky, come-again mouth feels. Plenty of interest if you like your grenache leaning more towards a shiraz style. Good value at $24.
