RockBare Single Vineyard Shiraz 2017

Share

Said single vineyard hails from Marananga in the Barossa Valley. Located on the Valley floor with its full sun and rich soils, the sub-region is home to a big, full bodied kind of shiraz. It’s delivered here. RockBare isn’t afraid of oak, it rolls it out generously with the scent and flavour of new leather, mushroom, undergrowth, damp soil. Studded in among the savoury notes are lashings of just-picked blue and purple fruits, spice. Tannins are robust, framing the wine well. It’s quite an attractive vinous picture and a different interpretation of shiraz courtesy of the Marananga sub-region.
