If you don’t know the Rouleur Wine Co then now is the time to check them out as it’s home to a small range of incredibly well priced wines that are deliciously subtle and understated. These are wines that rarely, if ever, disappoint.
2020 was not the easiest vintage in the Yarra yet this wine has retained superb complexity, if in an earlier drinking style. Bright mid cherry in colour, there is a wide array of aromas, from raspberry and wild strawberry through to more savoury five spice, earth and shiitake mushroom, with old oak sitting in the background. The palate is then bright, fresh, juicy and inviting with layers of spicy red fruits before a long, supple and silky palate. A beautifully balanced and great value pinot noir.
