Rowlee Pinot Gris 2023

Share

The grapes for this wine come from the cool climate region of Orange in New South Wales, with the added benefit of altitude – the vineyard sits 950m above sea level. This results in stunning aromatics of jasmine and apple blossom, freshly cut green pear, wedges of lemon and a wisp of fennel fronds. It’s medium bodied and very zesty in the mouth – sitting somewhere in style between the richer French Pinot Gris style and the citrus tang reminiscent of Italy’s Pinot Grigio. Some lovely citrus-pith texture and juicy acidity invites pairing with a golden plate of salt and pepper squid.
