Saltram No. 1 2021

Vintage conditions were excellent for the No. 1 and they’re manifested in a rich and utterly satisfying drop. It successfully straddles the line of opulence and daintiness, with pretty aromas of violets and lush characters of chocolate, dried red and black fruits, smoke and olive, as well as some spicy cinnamon. The palate shows powerful and bright flavours and grippy tannins that are starting to integrate and soften, resulting in a silky wine that enlivens the senses (I know that sounds a bit wine wanky, but trust me, you’ll believe me when you try it).
