Scanlon Fumé Blanc 2025

Share

The 2024 season was one of much reduced yields and volumes in the Adelaide Hills. So just two barrels of the Scanlon family’s Sauvignon Blanc were produced, and hence given this quite special treatment: fermented in French oak, matured and stirred in barrel for 10 months. This is not your everyday Kiwi-style savvy, in fact something very different. A sense of grapefruit flesh, a subtle vanilla like waft over grilled peach on toasted crumpet, all of which find a harmonious fulfilment in the palate, skipping on the tongue while filling out with a creamy textural finish. Lots to discover within – and to appreciate its individuality.
