Schubert Estate The Gosling Shiraz 2017

Captures this vintage to perfection. You get straight into the blackberry and plummy aromas with further dark chocolate and spiciness bringing it to life. Then the rich and densely smooth plush palate delivers its power. There’s a little savoury black pepper to spruce it up adding to a vibrancy and lively mouth feel. It’s reasonably high in alcohol but it handles it rather well thanks to the dense fruit and balanced oak and tannin combo.
