See Saw Invergo Organic Gamay 2022

The colour grabs your attention in bright, iridescent cerise-purple. The ever approachable Gamay grape is in its element here, cherry rich in scent with raspberry, rose, spice and vanilla. Expands on the palate offering both freshness and immediacy, while retaining a little something for further down the track. Nothing but the fruit on the palate continuing the red theme in sour cherry and cranberry, tart and bright, with musk stick confection notes, bringing good depth of flavour to the middle palate and beyond. The overall effect is quite linear, almost lean with acidity firm. This is the producer’s first 100% Gamay and it is intended as a nouveau style, made with no oak. It works a treat.
