Winemaker Clare Dry has exerted quite an influence on this wine since taking over in 2021. The intention is to make a wine that strongly reflects the Drumborg Vineyard. It was 100% whole bunch pressed and fermented on full solids in barriques of which 30% was new. Full malolactic was used to balance the high natural acidity. I love the purity and energy in its core and how the textural influences have been created in the winery. At the same time, it never loses that essential Drumborg linear thread that carries through to a lingering finish.
