Seppelt Drumborg Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023

The Drumborg vineyard can be a tricky proposition for Pinot Noir and in 2022 the season conspired against it, so none was made. This year, too, had its challenges but the result is impressive. It’s in the red fruit zone with bright cherry aromas combining with deeper damp earthy notes. There’s a distinct minerally line that runs the gauntlet of fine chalky tannins and fine-grained integrated oak. As with the Chardonnay it makes a statement about the site.
