Sourced from two vineyards in the Sidewood estate, Charleston and Oakbank, this tends towards a more textural Gris style which isn’t surprising given it has spent a few months, after mostly wild fermentation, in larger French oak vessels. Flavours thread through a spectrum of white stone fruit, exotic pink grapefruit and varietally familiar cut green pear, all attractive and juicy, held in place with a light grippiness in the palate. An excellent table companion for a broad range of dishes.
