Silkwood Estate The Walcott Riesling 2020

This wine comes from Pemberton, which is around halfway between Denmark in the Great Southern wine region and Margaret River, making the climate a little warmer than its Great Southern neighbour. That comes out in this vintage of the Walcott Riesling which is a little bolder than the more willowy Great Southern style. It is still bright and fresh with exotic kaffir lime and citrus fruits plus an edge of bath salts. It’s then dry and tangy with balanced acidity driving its vibrant, youthful style – perfect for marron tails with a Thai Green Curry sauce.
