Singlefile Riesling 2024

Share

Oh, Great Southern Riesling in the zone here at sub $30. Yes please! Lime peel and makrut lime leaf lead the aromas, making way for preserved lemon, salty minerality, sweet jasmine, and talc showing crystalline purity and pithy appeal. There’s a chalky talc-like texture to the palate which is packed with flavour and kept in check by forceful tension. Lime juice, lime pith and big salinity makes for a real margarita salt rim vibe here, and I’m all for it. Great intensity and structure to frame thanks to lovely, bitter, pithy phenolics and huge waves of saline acid which pulls the wine to long citrussy length. This has all the pieces in place for medium term cellaring, too. Incredible value.
