Sorby Adams The Reverend Canon Barossa Shiraz 2021

Share

Mighty good year in the Barossa was ’21, and this excellent Shiraz shows all that you might expect from such a good season. There are notes of blackberry, cocoa, a little dark chocolate, and a nice ethereal cedary lift. The palate is seamlessly textured, quite plush with a liqueur cherry and slightly earthy savoury notes to offset. As with most of Adams’ wines, it gets a decent hit of oak, which in this case was 36 months in French. The result, though, is a harmoniously blended and composed wine that expresses the Barossa beautifully.
