Soumah Hexham Vineyard Savarro 2025

Share

What a wine to get you to step out of your box. The folk at Soumah have always championed Savarro or Savagnin, leaning into its ability to show diverse fruit, savoury and textural display. Here fermented in stainless steel it brings green apple or even of a Poire William pear aroma, blacked by lemon skin and green olive. The palate is slightly oily but clean too, with wisps of fresh acidity and some ginger warmth. This is ideal on a table with garden grown vegetables, think artichoke heart, fired zucchini or pestos. A dry wine with plenty of quirky edges. So much fun. Drink now.
