SOUMAH Yarra Valley Hexham Vineyard Pinot Grigio 2025

Full blown skin contact delivers a salmon blush colour, but this is no Rosé. The decision to keep true to the grape’s actual skin colour and not remove it by fining is to be applauded. It also results in more flavour. Aromas of apple, citrus, pear with light spring flower florals. It’s dry, just the way Grigio should be, lightly creamy and nicely spiced.  It could be argued that it is moving into Gris territory, but that lively acidity keeps it grigio and that length on the palate is super impressive. Finishes on a bright spicy note.
