St Hallett Faith Shiraz 2022

Blackberry, dusty oak, ash, salami and black pepper spice sit within a restrained aromatic profile. It leans towards savouriness instead of overt fruit, which is pleasing at this price point from this region. The palate is full bodied, juicy and far more fruit led with a good pop of blackberry and plum tempered by the ashy and spicy notes. The tannins are granular but fine, working with a medium acid line to constrict the fruit leading to a meaty, smoky finish. At $24, there’s a lot of wine here for the money.
