Sweetwater Wines Shiraz Touriga 2023

Share

Vibrant Kirsch, Ribena and raspberry compote bubbling on the stove. Thyme leaves, rosemary stem and blossoming Grevillea. There is plenty of intensity of fruit here with some granitic earth and wet potting soil too. It’s brooding but then with swirls and whirls of swooning red and black berried aromatics. Tannins maintain good structure with lifted acidity. This will cellar for another 3-5 years but it’s hard to imagine you’ll be able to keep your hands off it that long. There is something here for everyone. A compelling wine that would go down a treat with a swift decant and some paprika spiced potatoes and chorizo.
